Section 01

Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to sell and deliver vehicle history reports. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:

• Your name and email address, so we can identify your order and deliver your report.
• Your billing address and phone number, where these are needed to complete a purchase or resolve a payment issue.
• The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) you submit, and the vehicle records returned for it.
• Payment information, which is collected and processed by PayPal, our payment provider. Auto Vin Reports does not receive or store your full card number.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, device type and browser version.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers or financial account credentials, and you should not send them to us.

Section 02

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your order and deliver your report by email.
• Respond to support requests and refund requests.
• Send service messages, such as order confirmations, delivery notices, and changes to our terms or policies.
• Operate, secure and improve the site.
• Send occasional promotional email, where you have not opted out.

You can opt out of promotional email at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message, or by emailing support@autovinreports.com. Opting out does not stop service messages about an order you have already placed.

Payment processing

Payments are handled by PayPal, which is the only payment provider we use. PayPal collects your payment details directly, under its own privacy policy and terms. We receive confirmation of payment status and a transaction identifier, which we keep with your order record so we can find your purchase for support or refund purposes.

Section 04

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses cookies and similar browser storage only where they are needed for pages and checkout to work, such as keeping your order details together while you complete a purchase. Our payment provider may also set cookies during checkout. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but checkout may not function correctly if you do.

How we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

• With PayPal, to take and confirm your payment.
• With the data providers and email delivery service we use to compile and send your report.
• Where required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority.
• Where necessary to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of our customers.

We do not sell your personal information.

Section 06

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit, secured servers and restricted internal access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take these steps seriously we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 07

How long we keep it

We keep order records, including the VIN you submitted and the report we delivered, for as long as we need them to provide support, honor our refund policy, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Section 08

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a child has given us personal information should contact us at support@autovinreports.com.

Section 09

Your rights

You may ask us to:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your information.
• Stop sending you promotional email.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@autovinreports.com from the address used for your order. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may keep limited records where the law requires it.

Refunds

Purchases are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. Every purchase is a one-time payment, so there is no subscription to cancel. Eligibility rules, the request process and processing times are set out in our Refund Policy.

Section 11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the revised policy.
